Jason, can you elaborate on the responsibilities of the president or point to someplace where this position is described? Thanks.

Keep in mind the site is within our Old and Historic District so it will come under CAR review.
FYI our firm (Glave & Holmes Architecture) teamed with CR architecture + design and submitted a proposal for this project. The city has not selected a short list yet but I'll keep you posted.

It's kind of crazy that Obama's money is surrounding our neighborhood with construction!

Im down with the firestation. Added security/people, upgrade to the park, wish they would buy out the really bad old 7-11, that's where it should go.... In the RFP they discuss an add for a community room; That would be nice as we currently have no place to meet. Limited opportunity for any good local architect to do the work... the RFP is too restrictive. Design wise im a little scared to see what we get!

Jeremy,

I've got a book on Old Manchester, which has some great history about our hood... a bit on the haunted Springhill mansion. I've also got a great map showing the civil war battery overlayed on top of the current street pattern. BTW it happens to be located at the location of the current apartment proposal... that may be something we should look into. We wouldn't want to loose that historical significant resource!
